Adobe announces it’s Commerce Cloud update

Last week, Adobe announced the release of Commerce Cloud which is the latest cog in the company’s Experience Cloud machine. If you’re reading this, chances are you are already familiar with Magento. Adobe Commerce Cloud is basically a fully managed cloud-based version of Magento. It seamlessly integrates with the rest of the Adobe suite, including its Marketing Cloud, Analytics Cloud and Advertising Cloud. It’s Adobe’s answer to similar platforms such as SalesForce Commerce Cloud.

New features have also been added to this release, such as, strategy dashboards and Amazon marketplace Integration. The strategy dashboards are ideal for those users who need to be aware of their company’s e-commerce strategy. The Amazon marketplace integration also means that users will be able to directly manage their Amazon store within the Commerce Cloud interface. We are particularly excited by this part of the release as many of our clients have been looking for a solution to manage their Amazon stores more easily.

The Commerce Cloud Amazon integration will allow users to pick and choose what stock will appear on Amazon as well as setting the price independently. This means that, should you wish to, you can offer a limited stock choice or special price on your products to Amazon customers. Adobe believe that by offering this it will help raise brand awareness and ultimately drive more sales back to your website.

Adobe Commerce Cloud has been designed to be flexible and scalable, meaning that existing Magento users won’t have to worry about updating everything in one go. If of course you do find you need some help, just give us a call.

Adobe have also made it clear that all of the standard Magento extensions will work on Adobe Commerce Cloud. Therefore, if you decide to onboard Adobe Commerce Cloud any existing modules can remain as they are.
