The Brief

We were asked to bring the Mere website up to date by developing a stylish and functional ecommerce platform for wholesale customers. Mere wanted to push their wholesale customers to use the website when placing orders.

The website design needed to showcase the stunning bathroom suites available whilst being easy to navigate on mobile devices for plumbers and bathroom fitters who are on the move.

Our Answer

When we are engaged by a new client we like to arrange a discovery day which gives us the opportunity to find out all about them. This was the case with Mere.

We discussed their client base, how they operate internally and how the website could help their sales team improve their customer care on a day to day basis. This gave us the basis of what functionality should be included in the technical specification for the new website.

Our design reflects the clean, modern, crisp look of the quality bathroom suites that Mere sell. Combined with beautiful photography the design showcases the products in situ. Users can easily browse stock, discover everything they need to know about any particular item and go on to purchase through a swift checkout journey. Along the journey, the users are also given suggestions for related products ensuring they have everything they need when they come to installation.

The responsive build uses a flexible and robust framework that pulls through a huge selection of images, which load quickly in any browser.

The Result

We crafted a beautiful, elegant and modern website that had performance at its heart.

The perfectly mobile optimised design allowed their customer groups to easily browse their product range, therefore increasing new account signups by 40%.

The tuned performance resulted in an extremely respectable load time of just 2.3 seconds and a 12% bounce rate reduction.
